How to Collect Content for our Marketing Team

< Back to Categories

Overview

The best marketing starts with the best stories — yours. At RED66 Marketing, we build content that reflects who you are, what you do, and why it matters. To do that, we rely on real photos, videos, and insights from your team.

This guide walks you through what to collect, how to collect it, and how to share it with us so we can create the strongest marketing content possible together.

Why It Matters

Your audience wants to see you. Your people, your products, your process, your community. Authentic, high-quality content:

  • Builds trust and credibility
  • Humanizes your brand
  • Drives engagement and conversions
  • Keeps your marketing fresh and relevant

The more content you share with us, the better we can tell your story.

What Counts as “Content”

When we say “content,” we mean anything that helps show or tell your story, such as:

  • 📸 Photos: your team, workspace, customers, events, products, community involvement
  • 🎥 Videos: quick clips, behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, testimonials, day-in-the-life footage
  • 🗣 Quotes & Stories: customer testimonials, staff spotlights, success stories, milestones
  • 📅 Updates: new hires, service launches, awards, community events, promotions
  • 📂 Assets: logos, brand guides, event flyers, product sheets, or anything else that supports your marketing

Step-by-Step: How to Collect Content

1. Identify What’s Worth Sharing

Think about what makes your business special. Here are a few prompts:

  • What’s happening around the office or job site this week?
  • Are there projects you’re proud of?
  • Any community events, milestones, or new hires?
  • What moments would make your customers say, “Wow, that’s awesome”?

If you’re not sure, share it anyway. We’ll help decide how and where to use it.

2. Capture Great Visuals

You don’t need a professional photographer, just a phone and a little intention.

Tips for great photos and videos:

  • Use natural light when possible
  • Take both horizontal and vertical shots
  • Capture candid moments (people working, laughing, doing what they do best)
  • Keep videos short and steady, around 10–20 seconds
  • Avoid filters; we’ll handle editing and consistency

Want the best quality?

Pro tip: Create a “Content” album on your phone to quickly drop photos in throughout the week.

3. Gather Stories, Wins, and Quotes

We love hearing what’s going well. Send us:

  • Client success stories or positive feedback
  • Employee milestones, anniversaries, or shoutouts
  • Awards, partnerships, or big wins
  • Personal stories that make your business feel real and relatable

Even small wins make great content.

4. Organize and Label Before Sending

Before sharing your files:

  • Group content by month or theme (for example, “Nov 2025 Photos” or “Team Highlights”)
  • Name files clearly (for example, “ShopGrandOpening_1” or “EmployeeSpotlight_Tina”)
  • Add short notes if context matters (for example, “This was from our volunteer day”)

A few extra seconds organizing saves time later and ensures nothing gets missed.

5. Send It to Us

You can share your content in whatever way is easiest:

  • 📁 Upload to your shared Google Drive folder (preferred)
  • 💬 Send through your Red66 Account Manager by email
  • 📱 Text small batches or AirDrop when we’re onsite

If you’re not sure where to upload something, just ask. We’ll send you the link.

6. Schedule a Content Collection Day (Optional)

If you’d rather have us come onsite, we can plan a Red66 Content Day.

This includes:

  • Professional photo and video capture
  • Staff interviews or soundbites
  • B-roll footage for social or website
  • Enough content to fuel your marketing for months

Ask your Account Manager about scheduling one.

Best Practices

✅ Be consistent. Small updates every month go a long way.
✅ Keep it authentic. People connect with what’s real.
✅ Celebrate your people. Faces perform best on social.
✅ Don’t worry about perfection. We’ll polish it up.
✅ Make it a habit. Set reminders or assign a “content captain” on your team.
